Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of razenet.com, your Razenet account, and the computer repair, IT support and related services you book with Razenet (“Razenet”, “we”, “us”) in Red Deer, Alberta.

By creating an account, logging in or booking a service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the authorized representative of a business, to create an account.
  • The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, including your contact details and service address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password private and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, abusively or in breach of these Terms.

Booking appointments

Registered users can book a date and time online and combine several services into one visit. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us by email or in your account.

Appointment times are our best estimate of arrival. Travel, weather or a previous job running long can cause delays, and we will let you know if we are running late. If a job turns out to need more time or different work than booked, we will discuss it with you before going ahead.

Cancellations and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule a booking at no charge up to [12 hours] before the appointment, through your account or by contacting us.

Late cancellations, or no one being available at the service address when we arrive, deposit will be non-refundable or client may be charged a inconvenience fee. We may reschedule an appointment if something outside our control prevents us from attending, and we will contact you to find a new time.

Estimates, pricing and payment

Item How it works
Estimates Free estimates are based on the information you provide. The final price may change if the actual problem differs, and we will get your approval before doing extra work.
Prices Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include GST unless stated.
Parts Parts and hardware are charged in addition to labour. Special-order parts may require a deposit and may not be refundable.
Payment Payment is due when the service is completed unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Business clients are invoiced on the terms shown on the invoice.
Late payment Overdue invoices may be charged compounded interest of [2% per month] and services may be paused until the account is paid.

On-site service

When we visit your home or business, you agree to:

  • Have an adult (18 or older) present for the entire visit
  • Give us safe access to the equipment and a suitable place to work
  • Provide any passwords, licence keys or account access the job requires
  • Confirm that you own the equipment or are authorized to have it serviced

We may refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe or if we are asked to do anything unlawful, such as bypassing security on equipment you do not own.

Your data and backups

Please back up your data before any service. Repairs, operating system reinstalls, hardware replacement and virus removal can result in data loss, even when done correctly.

You are responsible for backing up your files before we begin work. We take reasonable care with your data, but we are not responsible for loss of data, software or settings during service. Data recovery is offered as a separate, limited service and success cannot be guaranteed.

We access your files only as needed to complete the work you requested, and we keep them private as described in our Privacy Policy.

Warranty on our work

We stand behind our workmanship for [30 days] from the date of service. If the same problem we fixed comes back in that time because of our work, we will correct it at no extra labour charge.

New parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Our warranty does not cover new problems, viruses or malware picked up after service, physical or liquid damage, or changes made by you or someone else after our visit.

Managed IT clients

If your business has a managed IT services agreement with Razenet, that agreement sets out the scope, service levels, fees and term of those services. Where it conflicts with these Terms, the managed services agreement takes priority.

Acceptable use of our website

When using our website and your account, you agree not to:

  • Try to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts
  • Upload viruses, malicious code or anything that disrupts the site
  • Make false bookings or use the site to harass, spam or mislead anyone
  • Copy, scrape or resell our content or services without permission

Intellectual property

The Razenet name, logo, website design and content belong to Razenet or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Razenet is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from our website or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Alberta’s consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use your account or book services after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Bookings already confirmed are handled under the Terms in place when you booked.
