Licensing terms, in plain words
What you get when you buy Invoice Manager for Canada, what we ask in return, and what happens if you stop paying. Pay the cap and it is yours for life.
Last updated October 26, 2026
The short version
The short version is a summary. The full terms below are the agreement.
1.Definitions
- “Plugin” means Invoice Manager for Canada, the WordPress plugin made by Razenet, including its updates.
- “Razenet”, “we” and “us” means Razenet of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
- “You” means the person or business that buys the license.
- “Site” means a WordPress website where the Plugin is installed.
- “Single Site license” means a license for one Site.
- “Support Add-on” means the optional ongoing Razenet service and support described in section 3. It is not part of the Plugin or the license.
- “Unlimited Sites license” means a license for every Site that you own, or that you operate and manage for your own clients.
- “Cap” means the total you pay for your license: the one-time price if you pay once, or the total of all monthly payments if you pay monthly (see section 3).
2.License grant
When you buy the Plugin, Razenet grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Plugin on your Site (or, with an Unlimited Sites license, on your Sites) for your own business, including for invoicing, taking payments from, and booking your own clients.
You may keep a staging or development copy of your Site for testing. You may also let your staff, bookkeeper and contractors use the Plugin on your Site. There is no limit on the number of users.
3.Price and payment options
You can choose either of these ways to buy the license:
| Pay once | Pay as you go to own | |
|---|---|---|
| Single Site license | $1,500 | $50 a month for 36 months (Cap: $1,800) |
| Unlimited Sites license | $3,000 | $90 a month for 36 months (Cap: $3,240) |
Both payment options give you the same Plugin and the same license. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, such as GST, are added where required.
Optional Support Add-on: $19.99 a month for ongoing Razenet service and support. The Support Add-on is not included in the price of the Plugin. You can buy it with a license or later, and you do not need it to use or own the Plugin. Ending the Support Add-on never affects your license, and the Support Add-on does not count toward the Cap.
4.Owning the Plugin
The license becomes perpetual (it lasts for life, with no further fees) as soon as the Cap has been paid in full. If you pay once, that happens right away. If you pay monthly, it happens when your 36th payment is made and your payments reach the Cap.
After that, nothing more is due, and we will not ask for renewals, subscriptions or “maintenance” fees to keep using the version you own.
5.Cancelling or stopping payments
If you choose the monthly option, you can cancel at any time.
If you cancel, or your payments stop, before they reach the Cap, your license ends and the Plugin will be deactivated on your Site. Amounts you already paid are not credited toward a later purchase unless we agree to that in writing.
If a payment fails, we will contact you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it before the Plugin is deactivated. Once deactivated, your data stays in your WordPress database (see section 8), and you can reactivate the Plugin by resuming your payments or by paying the remaining balance of the Cap.
6.What you may and may not do
You may use, configure and customize the Plugin for your own business on your Site. You may not:
- resell, sublicense, rent, lend, share or give the Plugin or its files to anyone else;
- install it on more than one live Site with a Single Site license;
- with an Unlimited Sites license, install it on a Site that you neither own nor manage, or give a client a copy of the Plugin to keep or run on their own;
- publish or distribute the Plugin’s code, or offer it as part of a competing product;
- remove or bypass the license check, copyright notices or Razenet branding in the Plugin’s files; or
- use the Plugin for anything unlawful.
If you build or manage websites for clients, either each client buys their own license for their own Site, or you buy an Unlimited Sites license and run the Plugin on the Sites you manage for them. If you stop managing a client’s Site, remove the Plugin from it. If an Unlimited Sites license ends before it reaches its Cap, the Plugin is deactivated on every Site.
7.Moving to a new website or owner
You may move the license to a new domain or server for the same business at no charge. If you sell your business, you may transfer the license to the new owner if you tell us and they agree to these terms. Any unpaid balance of the Cap transfers with it.
8.Your data
Your invoices, promotions, clients, projects, bookings (including turnaround and progress updates), forms and other records are stored in your own WordPress database. Razenet does not host them and does not receive a copy. You own your data and remain responsible for backing it up and for complying with privacy laws that apply to your business.
Deactivating or deleting the Plugin does not delete your data unless you choose to remove it.
9.Updates and support
While your license is active, you receive updates for the Plugin. Once you own the Plugin, you keep the right to use every version you have downloaded, for life.
We provide help with installing, setting up and using the Plugin on a reasonable-effort basis, through razenet.com/contact. Custom development, data migration and on-site services are separate and are quoted individually.
We may change, add or remove features in future versions. We will not remove features from a version you have already downloaded.
10.Third-party services
The Plugin can connect to services we do not control, such as payment processors (for example PayPal, Square, Helcim or Moneris), email providers, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms, fees and privacy policies. Razenet is not responsible for their availability, charges or changes.
11.Refunds
Because the Plugin is delivered digitally, payments are non-refundable once the Plugin has been delivered, except where the law requires otherwise or where we agree in writing. If you are not sure the Plugin is right for you, please ask for a live demonstration before you buy.
12.No warranty
The Plugin is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Plugin helps you calculate Canadian taxes and prepare financial records, but it is not tax, legal or accounting advice. You are responsible for checking that rates, amounts and records are correct for your business, and for filing and remitting taxes.
13.Limit of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Razenet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Plugin. Razenet’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
14.Ending the license
Your license ends automatically if you break these terms, or if monthly payments stop before the Cap is reached as described in section 5. If the license ends, you must stop using the Plugin and remove it from your Site.
Once you have paid the Cap in full, we may end your license only if you seriously breach sections 2 or 6, for example by reselling or redistributing the Plugin.
15.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to new purchases from the date we post them. For existing customers, a change that reduces your rights takes effect only if you agree to it. The price you agreed to, including the Cap, will not go up.
16.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be decided by the courts of Alberta, and you and Razenet agree to their jurisdiction.
17.Contact
